Location: San Francisco
Occupation: Global Communications at Levis Strauss & Co.
Hometown: Seattle

She’s lived everywhere from San Francisco to New York, Winnipeg to Vancouver to Seattle, and marketed some of the world’s leading culinary gurus and largest fashion brands. Kelly Moss is by no means a layabout. She has an MBA from Sauder, a BA from Berkley, Marc Jacobs and Aritzia on her resume, and a cute dog named Rooney. We sat down with Kelly to talk San Francisco trivia, high school crushes and personal style.

Who is your style icon?
Christy Turlington

How would you describe your own personal style?
Naturally undone. Less is definitely more in my world.

What was the last thing you bought for your closet?
I was on a shopping spree in NY a couple weeks ago and bought some great sweaters from APC and Topshop, gearing up for winter.

What is your favourite hair trend?
Natural beachy waves.

Lipstick, gloss or natural?
Gloss!

High School crush?
Jordan Catalano from My So Called Life.

What is your biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
Quitting a great job and life in NYC to move to a relatively unknown Vancouver to obtain my MBA – with zero financial experience under my belt, it was daunting.

Which person do you admire – alive or deceased?
My Nana. She was the sharpest, most capable, humorous and kind-hearted person I’ve ever known. I often channel her approach to life in my own day to day – or at least I try to!

Can you tell us a bit about what it’s like to work for the originator of the blue jean, Levi Strauss & Co.
It’s great! I love working for an iconic brand that has so much history. The brand is innovative and continues to evolve so it’s exciting to be exposed to so many interesting people and projects across fashion, music, sports, arts, etc. Every day is different and that keeps it exciting.

Tell us three things we need to know about San Francisco:

1. Mark Twain once said “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco”. Our summer is actually in the Fall.
2. The original United Nations charter was drafted and signed in San Francisco.
3. Denim, the Chinese fortune cookie and Irish coffee were all invented here.

I can’t wait to?
Meet my new niece – she’s due in February (on my birthday).

What do you love about AG hair?
The quality of the products, everything is so rich and premium. I can’t live without the Oil which makes my hair shiny and frizz free.
