Prom Queen

Prom, a long awaited yet short-lived final dance for graduating seniors is the pinnacle event of the school year. Whether you’re rocking a princess ballgown or an elegant sequin dress, we have easy to do hairstyles that will have you looking like the belle of the ball. Get your locks camera-ready for when you sashay into the banquet hall to one of the most photographed events of the year.

In Knots

Stand out from the crowd and have some fun with this 90’s inspired Gwen Stefani hairstyle. Start on second, or third, day hair and spray Simply Dry Shampoo throughout. This will add grit, and volume, providing ease in your updo. Pull your hair back or leave out some face-framing curls for a more romantic feel. Divide your hair into three or more sections, and put your hair into loose ponies. Add some Texture Gloss to the ponies for additional control, and twist hair around the elastic, securing each section with bobby pins. The more sections you have, the more intricate the style will look. Finish off and spray Ultradynamics for a hold that will last you well past the last song on the dance floor.

Short & Simple

If 2016 was the year of the lob, 2017 is the year of the bob. This fresh, simple style is spotted all through Hollywood. Diane Kruger, Karlie Kloss and Lily Collins are just a few of the celebrities that revealed this short style at this year’s MET Gala. A cut just above the shoulder, it compliments a blunt finish, or an attention-grabbing fringe. After shampooing and conditioning with Thikk Wash and Thikk Rinse for gravity-defying volume, spray damp hair with Deflect, and blow-dry with a round brush to add height to your crown. Lightweight Deflect will speed up your blow-drying time, provide heat protection and add incredible smoothness and slip to hair. Finish off your style with Texture Gloss. Rub product into hands, and use it to smooth down flyaways, and add texture to your ends.

Loose Texture

Effortless, undone curls are one of our staples. Play up your natural texture this grad season, or change it up, with our Texture category. Spray Sea Spray through damp hair to enhance your natural curl. Scrunch in, and leave to air dry. Wrap hair around your finger to encourage some of the lazier waves. Once dry, add Spray Gel throughout for heat protection, and hold. Using a medium-barrel curling iron, wrap some of the looser pieces around the iron, away from your face. Flip your hair upside down, and spray a generous amount of Tousled Texture to loosen up the curl, add incredible volume and give you that red-carpet shine. Finish your look by smoothing down any unruly pieces with some Texture Gloss.

Half & Half

Elegant and swept-back, the half-up style is a classic. Mist locks with Firewall, and create a bend in your hair using a flat iron. Separate hair into sections. Start at the root, and twist the flat iron while pulling it through the ends. Spray Tousled Texture throughout to achieve body and shine. Take two pieces from the front, and twist them, creating an intricate, braid-like look. Secure with a clear elastic, or a metallic barrette for an elevated look. Spray Aerodynamics to set the style, and add light, moveable hold. Finish off your look by running Texture Gloss through your ends, to create a more deconstructed curl.
